Antique Car Hood Ornaments Pictures
71take the car hood ornament picture quiz
One of the things that has been lost in the evolution of automobile design is the use of hood ornaments.
In the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, auto manufacturers mounted miniature sculptures on the hood, bonnet, or radiators of their cars to make a distinctive statement about the vehicle.
Many of these were true works of art in every sense of the word, and I for one, remember and love the hood ornaments from days gone by.
Here is a short quiz - see how many of them you can identify - and share, tweet or email the link to your friends who enjoy the beauty of automotive art.
